Marry – Be marred – Get Married – 結婚の使い分け
A. be married と get married、marry は それぞれ使い方が異なります
□ marry + 人 … と結婚する
ex) I married him 6 months ago.
彼と 6か月前に結婚した(今も結婚している)
marry /ˈmeri/: to become the husband or wife of (someone)
ex) He married his college sweetheart.
ex) I’m married. 既婚です ⇔ I’m single. 独身です
married /ˈmerid/: united in marriage
ex) They are happily married with several children.
ex) We’ve been married for 2 years.
I have been married is used to mean the continued act of marriage. It would be used to refer to the number of years of marriage.
ex) Who is married to you?
あなたは 誰と結婚していますか?
ex) I’m married to John.
ジョンと結婚しています
married /ˈmerid/: having a husband or wife
ex) He has been married to his wife for almost 50 years.
= He and his wife have been married to each other for almost 50 years.
ex) Let’s get married!

□ be getting married もうすぐ結婚する
ex) I’m getting married at the end of this month.

get married /ˈmerid/: get united in marriage
ex) They’re planning to get married [=planning to marry] in October.

ex) I will get married.
