飛行機に搭乗して、自分の座席を見つけて、手荷物をラックに入れて、飲物を選んだり、機内食をもらう時に 役立つ英語フレーズを ピックアップしました。
P: 乗降客 = passenger
F: 機内乗務員 = flight attendant
機内持ち込み荷物 – Carry-on bags
ex) Can you help me put this bag in the overhead bin?
頭上の棚にカバンを入れるのを 手伝ってくれますか？
bin /ˈbɪn/: a box that is used for storing things
ex) The overhead bins toward your seat are approaching capacity, place your carry-on in an open area farther forward in the cabin.
ex) The overhead storage bin routinely pop-open.
頭上の棚の扉が 頻繁に ぱかっと開きます
pop open /ˈpɑːp/: to open suddenly and quickly
ex) The suitcase/lid popped open.
cf) There’s no room for my bag.
私の荷物を置くスペースがありません。
room /ˈruːm/: space that is used for something
ex) We’re running out of room in the office.
cf) My bag is soft and it can be fit under the seat in front of me.

fit /ˈfɪt/: to be the right size and shape for (someone or something)
ex) I hope this key fits the lock.

座席を交換する – Swapping airplane seats
ex) Can you switch your seat with me? That way we two can sit together.
席を代わっていただけますが？ そうすると 二人並びで座れるので
switch /ˈswɪtʃ/: to change or replace (something) with another thing
ex) The couple approached me asking to switch my aisle seat for their middle seat.
Could you swap your seat with me?
私の席と 席を交換してくれますか？
swap /ˈswɑːp/: to give something to someone and receive something in return
ex) You and your small child would be separated otherwise, you can’t ask to swap seats.
ex) Passengers are not allowed to change seats before take-off.

change /ˈtʃeɪnʤ/: to move from one position, place, etc., to another
ex) Mary changed [=exchanged, switched] seats with John.
= John and Mary changed seats (with each other).

ex) My seat belt doesn’t fasten.
